| Blessed are the peacemakers for they shall be called sons of God. How does God make peace? The answer might shock you, through blood! Someone has to die. Peacemakers are those who declare the gospel of reconciliation between a Holy God and wicked Men. (Sons of God) Romans 8:19 The revealing of the sons of God. They exercise dominion by declaring the gospel and pleading with them and commanding them to be reconciled to God. Peace can never be attained by the United Nations, only through turning to the true god in Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1 "Therefore since we are justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:13 says But now in Christ Jesus you who are far off have been brought near in the blood of Christ. For he is our peace. vs 17 he came and preached peace to you who were far off. Ephesians 6:15 we are to arm ourselves with the gospel of peace. We pluck people from the grip of the devil and sin and so plunder Satan, because he has been defeated through Christ. The other side of the coin is been saved from Go d's wrath. John 3:36 He who believes in the Son has eternal life, but he who does not obey the son, shall not see life for the wrath of God rests on him. Romans1: the wrath of God is been revealed from heaven. 2Corinthians 5: God was in Christ reconciling the world to him and has committed this ministry of reconciliation to us. Reconciliation has the elements of 2 parties who are antagonistic toward each other. The problem can't be resolved, so a mediator is called in. Just like in labor disputes. Because there is a complete breakdown between the 2 Parties, a 3rd party is called in who can represent the interests of both parties. If that fails then enmity continues and there is no peace between them. But if he succeeds he has made peace and there is no longer any conflict. People who are not ashamed of this Gospel are practicing dominion. To have dominion is to bring things into subjection to God . Those who proclaim the gospel of peace are the peacemakers and are called sons of God. |
