Revelation 20:3: And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season. Again we need to interpret scripture with scripture. Basically we find that Satan is bound but nowhere else do we find scripture that teaches us that there is a time where Satan is not active. So then how is he bound? We find he is bound in the sense that he is no longer able to deceive the nations completely. The case before Christs ministry began was that he had totally deceived the nations so that they were in complete and utter darkness.Since Christ has come there is a church in almost every nation. So it is his ability to totally deceive that is bound.

In the next verses we find that Christ has begun to reign. Some say that is a future event, but that is not supported by scripture. We find in Acts 2: 22: Ye men of Israel, hear these words; Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God among you by miracles and wonders and signs, which God did by him in the midst of you, as ye yourselves also know: 23: Him, being delivered by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, ye have taken, and by wicked hands have crucified and slain: 24: Whom God hath raised up, having loosed the pains of death: because it was not possible that he should be holden of it. 25: For David speaketh concerning him, I foresaw the Lord always before my face, for he is on my right hand, that I should not be moved: 26: Therefore did my heart rejoice, and my tongue was glad; moreover also my flesh shall rest in hope: 27: Because thou wilt not leave my soul in hell, neither wilt thou suffer thine Holy One to see corruption. 28: Thou hast made known to me the ways of life; thou shalt make me full of joy with thy countenance. 29: Men and brethren, let me freely speak unto you of the patriarch David, that he is both dead and buried, and his sepulchre is with us unto this day. 30: Therefore being a prophet, and knowing that God had sworn with an oath to him, that of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, he would raise up Christ to sit on his throne; 31: He seeing this before spake of the resurrection of Christ, that his soul was not left in hell, neither his flesh did see corruption. 32: This Jesus hath God raised up, whereof we all are witnesses. 33: Therefore being by the right hand of God exalted, and having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he hath shed forth this, which ye now see and hear. 34: For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 35: Until I make thy foes thy footstool. 36: Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.

Here we find that by Jesus resurrection and ascension that He is ascended to the right hand of God to receive the throne of His father David. This you can know that Jesus is Christ because He has received the throne of His father David. Therefore if Jesus is at the right hand of God it means he has received the throne of David and if He has received the throne then that means He is the king of Israel and therefore the Christ. Also receiving the throne means that Christ has been made King and therefore has begun to reign. One cannot receive a throne and not reign. So then here is clear scriptural evidence that Christ began to reign at His ascencion when he was declared to be king and Christ and if He has taken the throne then he has begun to reign. In Corinthians 15: we are told that Jesus must reign until the last enemy death is put beneath His feet.So then we must conclude that this is the 1000 reign of Christ.Secondly the 1000 year reign is not a literal 1000 years as Jesus has already been reigning more than 2000 years

Next we find that he reigns for a 1000 years. Now as with all things in Revelation it is difficult to know what is literal and what is figurative, However since we know that Christs reign from the time of his ascension has been over 2000 years,so it can't be a literal 1000 years. 5: But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Here we find the resurrection of the dead when Christ returns as written in Corinthians 15. Here we find a very interesting statement regarding the reign of Christ in Cor 15:25 : For he must reign, till he hath put all enemies under his feet. Here we find a direct connection to Christ beginning to reign when Acts 2:34: For David is not ascended into the heavens: but he saith himself, The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, 35: Until I make thy foes thy footstool. So when it says he must regn till He has subdued Gods enemies and made them His footstool it is directly connected by destroying the last enemy is death. This is clearly the teaching of scripture as to the reign of Christ. It is NOW it has Begun and will only END at the end when Christ returns and he Himself puts Himself under the rule and reign of God,that God may be all in all. Next we will deal with Thessalonians 4:16For the Lord himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever.

The reason I've picked out the above scripture is because it deals with the rapture. The teaching of the rapture is often associated with the beginning of the 1000 year reign of Christ. I will tell you why that cannot possinly be from the above text alone.Firstly the above text is dealing with the resurrection.I will give you scriptures to show you that the resurrection is the last day.John 6:39 And this is the will of him who sent me, that I shall lose none of all that he has given me, but raise them up at the last day. 40 For my Father's will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day." 44No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him, and I will raise him up at the last day. 54:Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. 11;24Martha answered, "I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day." 12:48There is a judge for the one who rejects me and does not accept my words; that very word which I spoke will condemn him at the last day. So it is very clear when interpreting scripure with scripture that the resurrection of the dead is on the last day. Therefore the rapture in 1 Thessalonians 4 cannot possibly be the beginning of the 1000 year reign of Christ. When we interpret Paul with Paul and compare Thssalonians 4 with 1 Corinthians 15 it is clear when the resurrection happens it is the end of this world as we know it.
